Real Princess Storytime is BACK!

Hello Again to our friends in Kingdoms near & far! My, what a busy two months it has been! It feels as if we have just stepped into Spring, and suddenly we are at the tail-end of May and heading in the warm Summer months. How time flies!

Our Princesses, Fairies, Mermaids, Ballerinas, Princes, and Pirates have enjoyed so many special birthday celebrations these past two months! We also had the pleasure of attending some very special events including the Grand Re-Opening of Books & Cookies in Santa Monica, where we host our monthly "Real Princess Storytime"! And we are so excited to be back in action and leading our first class since the re-opening tomorrow, May 23rd from 5:00-5:45pm, where Emiline the Ballerina will be telling stories of the stage, leading a classical ballet lesson, and doing a beautiful ballet craft! We are also very proud to announce the completion of several new costumes! Princess Lily revealed her stunning new ballgown last week. Her lavender silk bodice is adorned with a crystal and silver applique, and another layer of silk sits atop her frothy lilac skirt, with crystal trim all around the hem! You can expect to see Princess Lily in her new attire at all of her upcoming celebrations. Our Pirate Captain Joshepine ("Cap'n Jo" for short) is also excited about her swashbuckling new duds, from her brown leather boots, to her gold-embroidered burgandy vest (lined with nothing less than purple silk!), to her feather hat! And some of our beloved fairies have also revealed a new "etherial woodland" look for the Summer, including stunning floral headwreaths!

Hello Again to our friends in Kingdoms near and far!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend. This past Saturday, Princess Rose, Princess Buttercup & Flower the Fairy had the pleasure of attending the City of Moorpark's 25th Annual Easter Egg Hunt! They joined their friends, new & old, in a thrilling Egg Hunt, provided face painting for all the guests, passed out coloring pages and special Easter Prizes, and had an overall lovely time! It has always been important to us to maintain a relationship with the children we meet, long after the birthday party celebration is over, and it is public events like these that allow us to spend time with families in the community.

We often hear parents and little ones alike ask, "When can we see you again?" and we wanted to share with you all some special information about monthly public events where your child can visit the Princess, Fairy, Mermaid or Ballerina that she loves again and again!

Hello again to our friends in Kingdom's near and far! With Spring nearly here, we here in Lindovia are all hard at work preparing for the new Season: making new costumes, preparing new party packages, and much more! So many new and exciting additions to come soon. One new addition that we are very proud to announce is the arrival of one of our newest fairy friends, Hazelnut! An autumn fairy herself, Hazelnut's job is to paint the leaves bright colors of red and gold when its time for the Season to change. She wears a beautiful dress made from the softest and most colorful autumn leaves, with a cozy vest made from the bark of a sycamore tree. Atop her head she wears a wreath adorned with leaves, berries, pine cones, and drops of morning dew. Now that it's the Spring fairies' turn to change the Season, Hazelnut has flown in all the way from Lindovia to join us in celebrating birthday parties throughout the land. She is now available to book for your own fairy party!

We are also very proud to debut our first new ballgown this year! Our Royal Seamstress has been hard at work and Princess Buttercup's new ballgown is complete! It is stunning, with a bodice made from a golden yellow and cream brocade, adorned with a lace neckline and crystal buttons down the front, and a skirt made of butter yellow chiffon. A draped overlay of brocade, trimmed in beads and lace, tops the soft skirt. And of course, Princess Buttercup's classic "flower bunch" completes the back of the flowing gown! As Princess Buttercup makes her way to future birthday parties and events in Los Angeles this year, you will be certain to see her in this dress!

My, oh my it looks like this poor old blog has been neglected! Well this just wont do. Time to dust off the pages and start anew! With a lot of love and care, and a little bit of magic, I bet we can get this poor old blog all spruced up! First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Godmother Linda. As you may have guessed, I am the Fairy Godmother of Lindovia. My job is to take care of all the fairies that live in Lindovia's Enchanted forest. Whether it's a wing that needs mending or a potion for the fairy flu, I always know just what to do! And now I have taken it upon myself to make this my job too: Updating this blog so that we can keep all of our friends, new and old, informed about the goings on of the Princesses, Fairies, and of all the other magical creatures here in Lindovia. And my, are we all ever so busy! With Spring fast approaching, everyone is getting ready for all the new joys of the Season. The fairies are getting ready to help whisk Winter away and bring the Spring season! The Mermaids, who spent the Winter season swimming in warmer waters, will return to the Mermaid Cove of Lindovia. The Ballerinas of the Lindovian Royal Ballet are busy decorating tutus and preparing a new piece for the Spring Performance. And the Princesses are getting ready for a busy season of exciting birthday celebrations!

Spring is a time of new beginnings, new ideas and new friends! And we have some new friends from Lindovia who will be joining us in celebrating children's birthdays in lands near and far! Pirate Captain Josephine of the North Star and her crew have sailed the seven seas and are now sailing to the shores of Los Angeles and would love to meet you and your little ones!

More exciting news: Real Princess Parties has introduced several new packages to our repertoire, including our "Table Manners & Etiquette Package", our 2-hour, multi-character "Extravaganza Package", two "Ballerina Dance Party Packages" and two new "Pirate Adventure Packages"! We will also be introducing our "Flittering Fairy Show" to several of our current packages, where your child and her guests will get to meet a real flying fairy in this 10 minute interactive show! We are so excited for the addition of so many wonderful new packages & characters but we musn't forget about our long beloved characters too! Our Princesses, Fairies, Princes and Mermaids will all be getting a NEW LOOK, complete with brand new custom-made costumes and accessories. Featuring beautiful costumes is a large part of our overall dedication to maintaining the highest quality entertainment. Over the past year, our Princess gowns have been worn countless times and loved immensely with each and every wear. From the speckles of sparkles acquired during face painting, to the small tears here and there from a wild and exciting game of freeze tag, to the wrinkles from countless hugs, our dresses have been worn in with love. While we treasure the memory of each little beauty spot, we are committed to maintaining the most beautiful, highest quality Princess attire. Therefore, our Royal Princesses will each be getting a new custom-made ball gown, with a tiara and hairstyle to match! We are certain that this set will be even lovelier than our last! Please stay posted as we will be unveiling the Princesses' new look one by one, as the Royal Seamstress completes each gown.

Many of our other friends will be receiving new garments as well! Our fairies are hard at work, each stitching and weaving a stunning new dress made from the finest petals and leaves of the season, with a matching floral head wreath. And lets not forget our Princes, who will be getting new Royal Regimentals! The mermaids will be shedding their scales to reveal the bold and brilliant colors beneath, and stringing together pearls and seashells to make new hair pieces.

Oh my, it's just all so exciting! So many wonderful new things to come! But of course, while we anxiously await all of these wonderful new things, we must remember to keep the old. "One is silver and the other is gold", you know. After three and a half wonderful years of sharing in the joy of birthday celebrations, our message has remained the same: We have always believed that beauty shines from the inside out, and while lovely new dresses and sparkling tiaras are certainly fun and exciting, being kind, brave, and believing in yourself is what makes a true Princess. We look forward to continuing to share our message with all the children we meet!

Hello to our friends in Kingdoms near and far!
Happy June! Here in our beautiful homeland, Lindovia, it’s clear that Summer is fast approaching! We had such a wonderful month in May; We spent many lovely afternoons having tea parties with our fairy friends, riding our horses through the meadows, and visiting our mermaid friends at the cove. What fun! We also enjoyed celebrating many special events with our friends in Los Angeles, including a visit to Sophie and her family for a Princess Gram, a wonderful day of face painting at the Mar Vista Farmer’s Market, and storytelling at the Grand Opening of Books & Cookies in Santa Monica!
